Praia da Rocha is Portimao's headline resort, a dramatic stretch of golden sand framed by ochre cliffs and rock formations, backed by a busy promenade of hotels, bars, restaurants and a casino. It is one of the Algarve's best-known beaches and the engine of the city's summer tourism, drawing dense foot traffic and reliable holiday-let occupancy.
