About Saint-Pierre

Saint-Pierre is the oldest part of Bordeaux, a near-fully pedestrianised tangle of medieval streets opening onto buzzing squares like Place du Parlement and Place Saint-Pierre. The 15th-century Porte Cailhau and Église Saint-Pierre anchor a quarter that empties into the riverside Place de la Bourse and its famous Miroir d'eau. It is the city's social and tourist epicentre: terrace dining day and night, Rue Sainte-Catherine's shopping on its flank, and the Grand Théâtre minutes away. Tram Line A and the quays make it ultra-central, though the trade-off is footfall and evening noise, and small central lots that let strongly to visitors and students.
